About Us

The Iliso Care Society’s mission is to empower, enable skill acquisition, and to provide the most basic needs for the people of our community.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Iliso Care Society began in 2005 as a direct reaction to the needs of our community. Based in Khayelitsha, Mama Vivian recognised this need and acted. While it began as a soup kitchen, the organization has rapidly expanded into a wide variety of programs meant to empower and nurture disadvantaged women and children.

Women's Empowerment

Empowering women through entrepreneurship. From card making to sewing, we give women the tools to take their future into their own hands.
