With a diverse membership of around 50 members spanning ages 15 and older, the choir has captivated audiences at hotels, weddings, and prestigious events, including performances for the French Consulate.
The outbreak of COVID-19 brought abrupt changes to the Iliso Choir's vibrant performances and shattered the dreams of its members. With performances halted, livelihoods disrupted, and some members experiencing personal loss, the choir faced unprecedented challenges.
In the face of adversity, Iliso Choir made a powerful decision to stand together. Recognizing the profound impact of the pandemic on their lives and community, they embraced their role as pillars of support for one another. United in purpose, they extended a helping hand and offered solace through their music.
